We did our Halloween pumpkin carving tonight.

Celebratory ribs.

Naturally I’m smoking some meat in celebration.

Baby and I are finally home. We survived two surgeries, a 40 day hospitalization, a bedbug infestation, a broken foot, and a hurricane.

My bone is not healing. Is this what happens when you get old?

I haven’t left this room in 6 days so I think a little escapism is warranted.

I’ve been reading The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. I’ve just now finished book 2 of 14, but it’s been very good so far.

Current Status.

Just heard the whole hospital is running on generators. Time to plug in the phone.

The hurricane and the fire should just cancel each other out, right?
