TIL that my hotel room doorknob is powered by 4 AA batteries and that you can access the circuitry with a small phillips head screwdriver.

@ched83 I’m not 100% sure that they completely got away with it. They removed the charge from my room but didn’t give me all the details.

@ched83 Recently when I’ve eaten at hotel restaurants I just scribble my room # on a piece of paper they give me.
