Sirens are going off. “Code red” over the PA. Our doctor says there’s a fire on the 2nd floor.

I’m glad I have this room, because the rooms with an actual waterfront view have been boarded up. At least I get to see the sky.

This is the view from the cot where I sleep. Only thing between me and the sky is a glass window and a glass ceiling.

First story windows are being covered with heavy steel plates.

There’s something therapeutic about it, much more so than my usual diet of tech, finance, and news podcasts.

Something I’ve been doing this past month in the hospital that I hadn’t done for years: Eyes closed, listening to music through headphones.

Glad we didn’t pay upfront for a full year of @Dropbox Business. Going to look at alternatives when we get home.

Kinda glad I don’t have to mess with that.

Evacuation is underway. Traffic on I-26 eastbound is in process of being reversed.

If there is an itemization on my hospital bill for the boards on the windows, I will post a picture online and get a million internet points.
